Felix Lobrecht: “It’s enough to make you cry” – this is how German celebrities assess the election results of the 2025 federal election

While some celebrities are already expressing their expectations of the new government, others are still keeping quiet about the election results. One star is outraged.
Most German celebrities agreed on Sunday and in the days before: "Go vote!" was the call of many stars who wanted to somehow get their fans to the polls. But just a few hours after the election, only a few stars are interested in politics - at least on social media, celebrities hardly take a stand. Why is that? Does no one want to get in the firing line?
Dieter "Didi" Hallervorden also called for people to vote on Sunday morning. In an Instagram post, the actor, unlike many other celebrities, not only explained which blue party people should not vote for, but also gave concrete instructions on who to vote for in order to prevent an undesirable coalition.
"Anyone who doesn't want Mr Merz to be forced to form a coalition with the SPD and the Greens should - if only in self-defense - vote for the FDP! Otherwise there will be no change in policy!" was Hallervorden's appeal - which apparently bore no fruit. The liberal friend has so far kept to himself how disappointed he is with the final results.
Reality star Julian FM Stoeckel, on the other hand, was hanging around the Konrad Adenauer House, the CDU party headquarters , on election night. He answered questions from various media outlets on site. On Instagram, the former jungle camp star reports how he went to vote with his 99-year-old neighbor: "'We have to vote, it's our duty, otherwise we can't complain at the end' - she's right," Stoeckel said, repeating the old lady's words.
Felix Lobrecht assessed how the politicians fared in terms of appearance in a story on Instagram. The Bavarian Prime Minister in particular did not fare so well: "Somehow we got used to Söder's weird beard, which he has now removed. And somehow that doesn't work anymore, Markus," said the Berlin stand-up comedian . His clear appeal: "We need Söder with a beard somewhere where he's not doing anything!"

Lobrecht also has nothing good to say about his CDU colleague Friedrich Merz. "Now that Merz is something like the king of Germany, we have to address his hairstyle," says the entertainer. Since he now represents the country to the outside world, the "island" in the middle of his head is an absolute no-go. "Grow a beard and get rid of everything up there," says Lobrecht, giving a well-intentioned styling tip .
Aside from his harsh criticism of the style of the Union's figureheads, the comedian seems to want to look ahead. "I hope, hope, hope that the democratic parties will refrain from tactical games and ego films for four years and work together sensibly," he writes in another story. Lobrecht, however, finds it a crying shame that the SPD has not drawn any personnel consequences after the election.
